With the news today from Nicola Sturgeon that we are not yet able to move onto the next phase of return to sport, which was scheduled for 14th September, we have had to make some amendments to the return plans.
For those 11 years old and under, we have no change. You can safely return to judo on a Saturday morning in classes 1 or 2 without social distancing. The rules allow for full contact so you can practice Judo fully in a fun and safe environment.
For students 12 years old and over, the announcement today has meant that we will have to delay your return to training until we move to the next phase of the governments phased return. The regulations currently in place would not allow us to return in a manner which we feel given the size and shape of our dojo, would be safe for you, your family, our coaches and the community. As always safety is at the forefront of all our decisions.
The Scottish government have said the next phase could return as early as 5th October but this could change depending on the situation at that time. Please keep an eye on our facebook page and website nearer the time for updates.
Stay safe and positive.
